Version 3.0. I wouldn't call it "incredibly frustrating", but yes, I certainly noticed this issue. I don't think the maps were quite big enough to necessitate a fast travel system, in fact, I think that might even detract from the game. But a simple "call the ship to pick me up" option might've been a nice compromise.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order was released in 2019 as a new take on the Star Wars gaming genre. Mixing “Dark Souls”-esque combat, action-RPG elements, and “Uncharted” styled platforming, the AAA release sought to immerse players in a graphically detailed environment containing new characters and a style of gameplay that is distinctly different from past Star Wars games. Fast travel would have been a great addition to the game. If you’re looking to 100% the game, there’s a lot of backtracking involved to find all the chests, secrets, and scannable locations. s57c.
